Granada

The Alhambra, Granada, Spain

Why Granada?

Granada is the capital of the province with the same name, situated in the eastern part of the region of Andalusia. The city of Granada is located at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. As the last Moorish capital on the Iberian Peninsula, it also holds great symbolic value. Its most famous attraction is the Moorish Palace the Alhambra. The fabled hilltop palace now attracts over two million visitors a year, making it Spain’s most-visited monument. Granada is also a busy university city, so be sure to investigate its lively nightlife, atmospheric streets and first-rate tapas bars. Granada is also close to the Mediterranean, so it is a great place to visit in any season.
